Senior/Staff Product Engineer (x2)

The Role:

Own and scale our web application and take full responsibility for the frontend architecture. Collaborate with product, design, backend, and leadership to build fast, reliable, and delightful user experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead frontend architecture and implement best practices across the team.
• Build scalable, maintainable web apps using React.js and Type Script , with a slight frontend lean (ideal 60:40 frontend/backend).
• Contribute to backend services in Python and work with Postgres/GCP.
• Translate designs into clean, responsive, accessible UI across devices and browsers.
• Drive product improvements by working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers and introduce modern tools, patterns, and coding standards.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: 6–10 years as a product engineer at top-tier startups and some early-stage experience (Series A–D). Founders or founding engineers highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Strong fundamentals across the stack;
  React + Type Script front-end focus with Python backend. Familiarity with Postgres and GCP.
• Education: CS or STEM degree with strong coding background (top schools preferred).
• Traits: Self-starter, ownership mindset, thrives in fast-paced early-stage environments, excited to work on-site full-time in NYC or SF.
• Extras: “Spikes of excellence” such as elite schools, top companies, or competitive programming achievements.
• Avoid: Frequent short-term roles or lack of early-stage startup enthusiasm.
