As a Sr Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan
Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Digital Utilities team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Our Team is focused on making Customer interaction data available for various business groups. Our team works on integrating with data-producers to ingest, reconcile and deliver utility-grade capabilities for data access. Our solutions are used to provide site-resilience and drive unique and novel Customer experiences. We deliver mission critical applications that run into thousands of TPS and provide low-latency, always-available capability for millions of Customers.
ResponsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Demonstrates knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
Exhibits in multiple modern programming languages
Utilizes in modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment
Applies industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Possesses understanding of financial control and budget management
Collaborates to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Extensive core Java development experience with Spring or similar framework
Expert understanding of data structures, algorithms & multi-threaded programming
Experience working on high throughput mission critical high-performance platforms utilizing kafka
Ability to influence architecture and design across distributed systems
Experience in designing and building reusable services
Proven track record in application delivery and stakeholder management
Experience with Cloud Foundry, AWS and Kubernetes
Hands on with Java, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, MQ, Cassandra, Spark, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, JMeter, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Jenkins and etc.
Experience developing open-source libraries or internal libraries that are integrated into applications by other internal teams
Behavior Driven Development using Cucumber and Continual Integration with Jenkins & Spinnaker
Experience with Cloud native software deployment ideally AWS & PCF
Experience with NO SQL database technologies (e.g. Cassandra)
Exceptional client relationship skills including the ability to discover true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical approaches, drive efforts to meet committed timelines with optimal solutions.
