Overview
West Monroe is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Agentic Solution Architect to lead the design and development of Agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on creating and refining agent architectures and patterns, developing detailed diagrams and specifications, incorporating platform standards, and supporting the CREATe process (Collaborative Requirements Engineering and Agile Testing). The position is hybrid in New York City.
Key Responsibilities- Design and refine Agentic AI architectures and patterns to enable autonomous, adaptive, and intelligent system behavior.
- Develop scalable and secure AI solutions leveraging GCP services such as Vertex AI, Big Query, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine.
- Define and implement reusable architecture patterns and frameworks that align with enterprise platform standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure agent designs are implemented effectively and meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable deliverables for engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Incorporate platform standards, security guidelines, and compliance requirements into solution designs.
- Ensure seamless integration of Agentic AI solutions with existing enterprise platforms and systems.
- Actively contribute to the CREATe process, including requirements engineering, design validation, and iterative testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate designs, and align on delivery priorities.
- Support the submission of architectural designs, specifications, and testable models as part of the CREATe process.
- Expertise in designing and implementing autonomous, multi-agent systems including planning, memory, tool use, coordination, and decision‑making patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with common agentic design patterns such as RAG, orchestrator‑worker, planner‑executor, and collaborative multi‑agent architectures.
- Proficiency in MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (agent‑to‑agent) standards for interoperable, distributed agent systems.
- Strong background with GCP services including Vertex AI, Big Query, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and GKE to build and operate agent‑based platforms.
- Architecture of secure, resilient, and high‑performance AI/ML systems optimized for agent workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Java and Go for agent services, tooling, and orchestration.
- Experience with data engineering, MLOps, and end‑to‑end AI lifecycle management on GCP.
- Ability to create high‑quality architectural diagrams, design specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience with Agile environments and contributing to iterative development processes.
- Strong communication skills to present complex designs and concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
- Experience with reinforcement learning, multi‑agent systems, or other advanced AI techniques.
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and governance frameworks.
- Prior experience contributing to the CREATe process or similar collaborative engineering methodologies.
Salary range varies by location: $159,800—$188,000 USD in Seattle or Washington, D.C.; $167,400—$196,900 USD in Los Angeles; $175,000—$205,900 USD in New York City or San Francisco; $152,200—$179,000 USD elsewhere.
