About Our Engineering TeamOur U.S. engineering team consists of roughly 20 engineers working in a startup‑like environment. We focus on building new core capabilities for the U.S. market, working closely with our team in the UK to adapt existing products and architecture.
Your Day‑to‑DayYou will act as a technical multiplier, setting direction, designing scalable systems, and leading architectural decisions. Your responsibilities include:
- Writing and reviewing code in a strongly‑typed language such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
- Designing and implementing distributed, resilient services that meet high throughput and low latency requirements.
- Mentoring engineers at all levels to raise the technical bar across the team.
- Collaboration with product, data, security, and operations teams to deliver quality features on schedule.
- Communicating complex ideas and technical trade‑offs effectively across organisations.
Based in New York City, we support a hybrid model that requires three days per week in the office. Flexibility around work hours is encouraged. Our culture values inclusion, autonomy, and continuous growth.

- Cassandra for persistent storage.
- Kafka for asynchronous messaging.
- Kubernetes and Docker for deployment.
- Envoy for RPC routing.
- AWS for most infrastructure, GCP for data.
- React for public web applications and internal tools.
- Initial call.
- Take‑home task or pair‑coding exercise.
- Final interview: system design and behavioral.
The process typically takes four weeks but is flexible to fit your schedule.
