Senior Software Engineer

PAY: $90-100/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.

Fully remote role, expected to maintain core hours starting at 9:00 AM Eastern time.

W2 Candidates only.

• Senior SW Engineer and adding AI realm, writing Agents – writing prompts, chat interfaces, build AI into products, Agents talk to Agents inside products, and leveraging the same technology do their job – cursor, Git Hub Copilot / Copilot X, Lang Chain etc – feels like most of the industry is moving this way and folks that want to continue in this realm, will need to upscale their skills.
• Runs mostly on Azure / GCP though that’s not the focus.
• React / Type Script front – backend some java spring boot, but more node flavors + Python for all AI interactions.
• Interview process will consist of 2 rounds with Software and Data Engineers

• Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with excellent academic record
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with hands-on development in at least one of the following programming languages:
  Python, JavaScript.
• Significant experience using and implementing Web Services (REST,GRAPHQ) and monitoring APIs.
• Well versed in cloud computing, automated tests, microservices architecture, continuous delivery/integration, and Dev Ops tools.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and non-relational (Elasticsearch, Mongo
  
  DB, Cassandra) data stores.
• Strong experience with software development frameworks (Node.js, React, Spring).
• Prompt engineering and prompt optimization, including designing system prompts, reusable prompt templates, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience integrating large language models (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production applications.
• Understanding of agentic workflows, including planning, tool use, memory, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain, Llama Index, Semantic Kernel, custom agents).
• Ability to design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Elasticsearch, FAISS).
• Experience with AI safety, guardrails, and evaluation, including monitoring model quality, hallucination mitigation, and ethical use considerations.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning, model selection, and applying smaller on-device models when appropriate.
• Understanding of AI system architecture, including latency tradeoffs, caching, batching, token cost optimization, and scaling strategies.
• Hands-on experience with AI cloud services (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI) is a strong plus.
