We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and work on Derivatives IT projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C++ and be passionate about developing new features on Trade and Market Access Platforms.

Role and responsibilities

  • Design & Development:
    • Interact with traders and quantitative researchers to analyze new ideas and requirements.
    • Maintain and improve trading applications: develop new features, algorithms, enhance existing applications, optimize for speed, and fix bugs.
    • Implement algorithms in compliance with regulations (e.g., RegNMS, RegSHO).
  • Support:
    • Monitor the stability and proper functioning of the trading platform (scripts, batches, applications, infrastructure).
    • Maintain and automate the platform to reduce manual interventions and improve stability.
    • Assist users, including traders and researchers.
  • Coordinate with Market Access teams to ensure proper quote reception and order sending capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT Infra teams to ensure all devices (servers, firewalls, switches, databases, connectivity) function correctly.
  • Work with Operations to ensure accurate accounting of positions and feed booking.
  • Engage with compliance teams to understand regulatory impacts on the trading platform.
Qualifications
  • More than 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills, including:
    • Real-time and multi-threaded programming
    • Network programming
    • SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
    • Scripting skills (Python, csh, bash)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of finance is a plus but not required.
  • Understanding of multi-core architectures.
  • Experience with libraries such as ACE, BOOST, QT.
  • Knowledge of Dev Ops, Continuous Delivery, Jenkins, JUnit, Gradle, Git.

The salary range for this role is US $80,000 - US $150,000.
