Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Portfolio Analytics Engineering group. This team partners closely with investment professionals to transform quantitative research into real-world portfolio actions. In this role, you’ll contribute to the ongoing evolution of an internal portfolio implementation system that underpins systematic investment workflows across multiple strategies.

• Design, enhance, and maintain functionality across both modern and existing codebases, working in more than one language and framework.
• Build and support Java-based, service-driven applications deployed in containerized AWS environments.
• Partner directly with portfolio managers to interpret results, respond to time sensitive questions, perform exploratory analysis, and implement new workflows using Python.
• Manage competing priorities by addressing urgent production issues while also delivering longer-term architectural improvements.
• Assist with portfolio construction logic, monitoring frameworks, and the integration of new quantitative approaches into production systems.

• 6–8+ years of professional software development experience;
• Strong problem-solving ability with a proven track record of writing, testing, and debugging high-quality code.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; hands-on experience with Python, Num Py, and Pandas is highly valued.
• Solid background in SQL and relational databases such as Postgres, SQL Server, or comparable platforms.
• Exposure to financial mathematics and the application of quantitative concepts to portfolio analytics is a plus.
• Experience developing REST-based services and working with modern SDLC tooling, including Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
• Clear communicator with a genuine interest in financial markets, investment instruments, and portfolio optimization techniques.
