Tier Firm – AI Engineer – NYC

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architecting and deploying AI-, machine learning-, and large language model–based systems that enhance research and investment workflows
• Building intelligent applications such as conversational agents, internal copilots, and automated tooling used by front-office professionals
• Developing advanced LLM pipelines, including retrieval-based architectures, function orchestration, and integrations with internal data platforms and services
• Taking AI initiatives from early research and prototyping through to production deployment, primarily using Python
• Partnering closely with investment and domain experts to surface high-impact use cases and translate them into scalable AI solutions

• An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline
• Strong Python development skills and experience building production-grade systems
• Practical experience with modern LLM ecosystems, including frameworks such as Lang Chain or Llama Index, vector databases, and leading LLM APIs
• Prior exposure to financial services or investment environments is a strong plus, but not mandatory
