- Design and implement embedded firmware for digitally controlled power systems
- Develop and maintain firmware related to monitoring, control loops, communication interfaces
, and system reliability - Work with hardware engineers to define microcontroller/processor requirements and integrate firmware with schematics and layouts
- Build and refine control algorithms (voltage regulation, current limiting, PFC, AC‑DC / DC‑DC control strategies)
- Interface with digital communication protocols:
I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, PMBus, SMBus, GPIB, Ethernet, LXI, Modbus - Debug, validate, and optimize firmware in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related equipment
- Develop unit tests and system‑level tests for regulatory and performance validation (UL, IEC, etc.)
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and cross‑functional engineering efforts
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience developing embedded firmware for power electronics or embedded systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ for real‑time embedded environments
- Experience with microcontrollers/DSPs/SoCs (e.g.,
TI, STM, Microchip, NXP
) - Strong understanding of power‑supply topologies (buck, boost, flyback, LLC, etc.) and power‑conversion fundamentals
- Familiarity with compilers, debuggers, IDEs, and version‑control systems
- Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and embedded lab tools
- Experience with digital control techniques (PID, current‑mode control, etc.)
- Experience with RTOS or bare‑metal firmware
- Understanding of safety, EMI/EMC, and reliability standards
- Scripting or automation abilities in Python

- Close collaboration with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams
