Strategy Development Software Engineer - C++ - NYC Hedge Fund

Be part of the first wave building a greenfield Delta-1 systematic trading desk at a top-tier proprietary trading firm.

This is a hands‑on strategy development C++ engineering role. The desk is being built from scratch, giving you real influence over the systems, architecture, and development patterns from day one.

You’ll be improving existing strategy code paths while also building new strategies and components end‑to‑end. There are multiple active and upcoming strategies, so the work spans different models, execution logic, and performance constraints, real products with real feedback loops.

The role is highly ownership‑driven. You’ll take ideas from research to production in C++, iterate quickly based on market results, and continuously optimize latency‑sensitive systems in a fast, research‑led environment. Early hires have a clear path to increased responsibility and leadership as the desk scales.

The ideal candidate has experience developing execution strategies or comes from a Unity/Unreal engineering background.
