About the Role:We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer with Front‑End lean to take end‑to‑end ownership of our front‑end architecture and developer tooling. This role is for someone who enjoys building foundations early, making opinionated (but pragmatic) decisions, and unblocking teams through better systems—not process. You’ll operate as a technical owner and multiplier: shaping how front‑end work gets done across the company while still writing production code every week.
If you like being close to product, moving fast, and building things that scale with a growing team, this role
- Own and evolve the front‑end architecture across our applications, including structure, state management, and data flow
- Design and maintain front‑end tooling that improves developer velocity (build systems, local dev, CI, testing, linting)
- Set clear technical direction and standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability
- Make high‑impact architectural decisions with a bias toward simplicity and iteration
- Build and maintain shared UI components and core front‑end abstractions
- Partner closely with product engineers and designers to ensure front‑end foundations support rapid product development
- Proactively identify pain points, technical debt, and scaling risks—and fix them before they slow the team down
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions
- Act as a front‑end technical leader without needing formal people management
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with deep hands‑on front‑end expertise
- Strong proficiency in Type Script and modern front‑end frameworks (React preferred)
- Proven experience owning or driving front‑end architecture in a fast‑moving environment
- Solid understanding of front‑end tooling and build systems (e.g. Vite, Webpack, Babel, ESLint, testing frameworks)
- Experience building or maintaining shared component libraries or design systems
- Strong grasp of performance optimization, browser behavior, and accessibility best practices
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and making trade‑offs in an early or evolving codebase
- Ability to influence technical direction through code, documentation, and collaboration
- Startup mindset: pragmatic, curious, and biased toward action over perfection
You're a builder and operator who thrives in fast‑moving, high‑accountability environments. You take pride in getting things done — thoughtfully, efficiently, and without drama. You’re energized by ambiguity, skilled at bringing clarity, and comfortable flexing between strategy and execution.
You value feedback — giving it, receiving it, and acting on it — and you see collaboration as a competitive advantage, not a burden. You’re low‑ego but high‑agency: you care about winning as a team more than being right individually. You move quickly, communicate directly, and make decisions grounded in impact and data.
You don’t need constant direction — you create momentum. You take ownership for outcomes, and you expect the same from those around you.
How We Operate:We move fast, work smart,…
