Annual Security Report Notice

This is a research assistant position working with Dr Zhan Zhang in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems on a research project focused on developing an AI-powered extended reality (XR) training tool for emergency care providers. The goal of the project is to support provider training in clinical decision-making and patient management through immersive, interactive scenarios. The student will work within an interdisciplinary, cross-institutional team with expertise in Human Computer interaction, AI, Extended Reality, and Emergency Medicine.
* UG or Graduate student in CS, IT, IS or a related field
* Strong programming Skills and solid Software Engineering fundamentals
* Experience with XR development
* Experience with 3D content creation and asset pipelines including importing, optimizing and integrating models into Unit
* Experience working with large language models (LLMS) and/or related AI tools
* Familiarity with Git Hub for version control
* Ability to learn independently while working on open-ended technical problems
* Persistence in troubleshooting and resolving issues
* Ability to document work and report research progress
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
