Sr. Java Developer

TYPE: W-2 Contract - Full-time. No C2C or C2H candidates.

OFFICE: Hybrid. Although the majority of work can be done remotely, mandatory in-office meetings will occur twice monthly in mid-town New York City.

LOCATION: Midtown Manhattan, NY, NY

DURATION: 6 Months + (History of multi-year contract renewals)

• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming
• 8 years of experience developing in Java/J2EE
• Strong working experience with Spring and Spring Boot applications
• Experience in designing, creating, and testing RESTFul web services using JAX-RS and reusable Java libraries
• Familiarity with writing prepared statements and querying relational databases
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Experience with the core AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Batch, EC2, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Watch)
• Strong working experience with Docker and ECS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Hands-on experience with writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
• Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Knowledge in tuning the SQL to achieve better performance
• Creating database schema that represents and supports business processes.
