Our client, a national clothing retail manufacture is seeking a Java Integration Engineer for a 6-12 month contract in New York City.

Pay Rate Range $45-65/hr.
Hybrid (2 days per week onsite in NYC - 3 days remote)
Candidates must have experience working in a retail environment and have advanced level of Java/System tuning /k8s-topo
Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions that connect various systems and applications within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, API protocols, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP infrastructure, and best practices in system integration. There will be a heavy focus on designing supporting integration workflow and infrastructure documentation with multiple teams which will involve data mapping, designing solutions to integration issues/challenges, supporting the development process through the translation and simplification of business requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of systems and/or application development experience in a retail environment.
- Advanced level of Java/System tuning /k8s-topo
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices design, implementation, and integration with GCP services.
- Experience containerizing applications and deploying to Kubernetes (K8s) in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience integrating application monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
- Solid working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, Postgre
SQL) and data integration patterns. - Proven experience developing APIs and working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferred), Azure, or AWS.
- Familiarity with development tools and workflows including Intelli
J/Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo).
