- Experience building the front‑end user interface features and components of feed‑based consumer experiences.
- Experience with performance optimization (memory and latency), mobile image management (e.g., Glide, bitmaps), and building high‑quality, visual‑forward user interfaces.
- Familiarity with search infrastructure and proficiency in designing and analyzing data‑driven experiments.

The Image
X Frontend team builds image features and experiences for Search modalities, with a primary focus on Image Search within the Android and iOS Google Workspace. Our work has broad reach and drives top‑level growth for Search. We are part of the global Image Search group and collaborate closely with PMs, UX, Image Ranking, AGA Foundations, AGSA Platform, Video Search Frontend, Search Performance, and Search Platforms to shape the vision and direction for Images.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000–$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ResponsibilitiesWrite product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
