Head of Software Engineering

A top NYC-based AI powered pharma coming is looking for a head of engineering to join their growing company. They will enable the next generation of scientists and pharma companies to bring life saving therapies to market faster and more efficiently.

This company needs a restless builder and inspiring leader. Someone who can help to shape the product and engineering function from day one. You’ll be a go-to technical authority and organizational driver.

Define the product & technical vision for our AI-powered Workspace

• Continuously scan emerging AI research to implement cutting-edge techniques (retrieval, LLMs, agentic AI, RAG systems, multi-step agents, vector DBs, etc.) and help align team and resources towards prioritization and execution.
• Lead execution and set a culture of engineering excellence. Write and review code across our stack (React, Type Script, NodeJS, Postgre
  
  SQL, Python). Push on building rapid prototypes to iterate quickly based on user feedback, and ensure top-notch performance and scalability for when product bets prove out over time.
• Drive best practices in architecture, testing, and Dev Ops—be the gold standard for code quality and engineering excellence and help raise the team to your level.
• Own our cloud native infra - spanning across Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, SQS, VPC networking, Tailscale, and more.
