Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer to join their team in New York, NY!

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, robust software solutions using Python, Java, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across investment, operations, and data teams to gather requirements and architect solutions aligned with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Review code, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality, maintainable software delivery within Agile development frameworks.
• Drive integration of new technologies and practices into the existing technology stack to enhance performance and scalability.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability in applications and data pipelines.
• Manage project timelines, task allocation, and team performance to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, data analysts, and infrastructure teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing platforms.
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex technical projects on time.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Prior experience in an investment firm or financial services environment.
• Familiarity with market data feeds, trading systems, portfolio analytics, or risk management platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Dev Ops tools.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and real-time processing.
