Location: New York
We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience to help scale, improve, and maintain critical technical systems. This role is Ruby-heavy, requires React experience, and involves building new features, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring the stability and performance of internal and external applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new features and improvements using Ruby on Rails and React.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting users.
- Participate in code reviews, share feedback, and support team development.
- Contribute to technical initiatives and propose solutions to improve systems.
- Evolve into a Subject Matter Expert in key areas of the business.
- 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.
- Extensive, recent Ruby on Rails experience (primary focus).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgre
SQL). - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Heroku, AWS, Cloudflare, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Collaborative and willing to learn and share knowledge.
- Performance optimization and scalability experience.
- Experience with media or journalism platforms.
- Familiarity with CDP platforms (Segment, Customer
IO, Blue Conic).
