What You'll Do
As a technical generalist, you will work on a wide range of projects across our core product, marketing integrations, automation, and open‑source contributions. You’ll own the priority of initiatives and shape our engineering direction.
- Build and improve core computer‑vision pipelines: image ingestion, annotation, training and deployment.
- Integrate marketing and sales tools and external APIs for annotation outsourcing and model performance analytics.
- Automate internal processes, resolve firefighting tasks and support rapid feature releases.
- Contribute to our open‑source community and help elevate Roboflow’s visibility.
- Create a filtering interface that lets users mix and match images based on metadata such as time of day, GPS location or custom tags.
- Expand our annotation tool to support polygonal annotations and image‑segmentation.
- Integrate the core app with external APIs for outsourcing annotation tasks and analyzing deployed model performance.
- Streamline the onboarding flow for new users.
- Deepen integrations with Roboflow Universe and our REST API.
- Develop next‑generation model‑assisted labeling.
- Optimize speed and scalability of our services.
- Onboard in person with your manager at our NY or SF hub.
- Build a trusting relationship with peers and learn the company structure.
- Ship a substantial new feature to an end‑user or to the internal team.
- Build your first Roboflow computer‑vision product (if you haven’t already).
- Attend the first all‑company onsite event.
- Ramped up on other relevant parts of the Roboflow product.
You will directly collaborate with the Engineering Lead and a team of full‑stack engineers.
QualificationsWe’re looking for passionate, self‑driven technical generalists who thrive in an autonomous environment. Ideal candidates:
- Own outcomes and embrace responsibility and accountability.
- Show passion for building great things with colleagues.
- Curious about new technologies, early tinkerer with ChatGPT and AI products.
- Track record of improving systems and processes, even beyond your immediate role.
- Comfortable with JavaScript/Node.js and Python; experience with Firebase, GCS, AWS, Docker and front‑end frameworks.
- Hungry to learn new skill sets and share knowledge with the team.
- Experience with rigorous testing and opinionated front‑end frameworks is a plus, but not required.
- Target base salary of $165,000.
- Travel stipend: $4,000 per year to work with teammates in hubs.
- Productivity stipend: $350 per month for tools that improve your work environment.
