Sr Lead Engr​/Tech Lead; Dir. Tech

Equinox Holdings, Inc. seeks Sr Lead Engr/Tech Lead (Dir. Tech) (NY, NY).

• Collect business requirements and work on proof‑of‑concepts to implement technology solutions.
• Perform as the primary lead for production deployments and ensure a smooth transition between infrastructure, development, and QA teams.
• Coach and motivate the software engineering team, conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Set priorities and technology design roadmap, assign and review tasks, review development and support requests.
• Telecommuting: 1 remote flex day per week within commuting distance of the NYC office.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s acceptable with 3 years software engineering experience).
• At least 5 years of post‑Bachelor’s software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years designing, developing, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure using AWS web services.
• Experience designing and implementing Spring‑based microservices using open source frameworks, including Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, SQL and No‑SQL databases.
• Proficiency with Java, Hibernate, JSON, HTML, CSS, Backbone.js, jQuery, PL/SQL and Apache.
• Experience with log monitoring tools (ELK, Splunk, Sumologic) and application performance monitoring tools (New Relic).
• At least 2 years designing software and product security, troubleshooting memory leaks, debugging resource deadlocks, and performing software architecture analyses.
• At least 1 year developing React web applications and integrating hardware with software applications.

• Salary range: $180,000–$205,000 per year.
