Senior Software Engineer - Platform Group

Overview

Ash is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be a key contributor responsible for implementing high-impact features and solving novel problems that make a difference to real people. You’ll be a technical anchor on your team, and will be influential both as an architectural guide and as a primary contributor.

• Serve as a technical pillar within a cross‑functional team, providing deep technical expertise, peer mentorship, and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with product and technical leaders to conceptualize, plan, and execute solutions that align with business goals.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of the delivery of key technical projects.
• Act as a catalyst for technical excellence, setting the benchmark for high‑quality code, building resilient and observable services, and championing the creation of comprehensive documentation.

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, 2+ in a senior role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to design, build, and ship solutions to complex technical problems.
• Knowledge of AI‑powered development techniques and a passion to stay on the bleeding edge.
• Empathy and effective communication within and outside the engineering organization, and caring about patient/user experience.
• Passion for solving problems involving complex systems related to high‑quality healthcare delivery.

• Languages and frameworks:
  Python (FastAPI, Uvicorn, Pydantic), Java script, Typescript, sometimes Go.
• Databases:
  MySQL, Redis, Big Query.
• Deployment:
  Terraform, Helm on Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, GCP Pub/Sub.
