Full Stack Engineer

Hammock is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to own product features end-to-end across web and mobile. You will ship dashboards, payments UX, and consumer surfaces, moving fluidly between frontend and backend with real say in how the product works and feels. Ideal candidate has built consumer products before, is opinionated about UX, and is comfortable turning ambiguous ideas into shipped features.

• Own features end-to-end across web and mobile
• Ship dashboards, payments UX, and consumer financial surfaces
• Build with Next.js, Expo, React Native, Type Script, and Postgres
• Move fluidly between frontend and backend
• Contribute to product decisions and UX direction
• Work in-person with the team 4 days/week in NYC

$150,000–$225,000/year

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience
• Strong Type Script, Next.js, and React proficiency
• Experience with React Native or Expo a strong plus
• Consumer product experience — opinionated about UX and able to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped features
• Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team
• Based in NYC (4 days in-office)
