Java Application Frameworks Developer (Consultant)

Location:

New York, NY (Hybrid: 2/3 days office/home)

Contract:

6 months, potential extension or hire. Salary: $100-106/h on W2, possible C2C.

A Framework Developer with expertise in Java and Python is required to support the modernization of a risk platform. The role involves designing and optimizing reusable framework components that enable scalable, high-performance applications in Azure cloud environments, utilizing cluster computing, Databricks, and Kubernetes technologies.

• Apply knowledge in observability, orchestration, streaming data, and data harmonization across multiple sources and formats to develop and maintain framework components supporting rapid application development and integration.
• Collaborate across teams, contribute to architectural enhancements, and provide guidance to colleagues.

• 10+ years of experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Significant experience working with Java and Python in enterprise contexts, demonstrating proficiency in scalable systems, microservices, cloud technologies, and software design patterns.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US (no H1 visa support).

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with risk management and compliance.
• CI/CD and Dev Ops methodologies, and monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• Experience in a cloud-native setting and ongoing technology transformation activities.
