Position SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Systems Programmer I.
Job Responsibilities- Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as required.
- Provides the development, analysis, modification, testing and maintenance for IDEA and IDL programs; diagnoses, isolates, and debugs software problems and performs problem resolution; monitors system capacity and performance.
- Transcribes pulse sequences (spectroscopy) to scanners.
- Develops software post‑processing tools to process MR spectroscopy data.
- Designs software applications related to the above tasks.
- Communicates to other members of the research team how the above work functions (training).
- Maintains group computers (updates software and fixes hardware issues).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (e.g., physics, mathematics, or neuroscience) and a minimum of two years of systems programming experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Prior intermediate‑to‑advanced experience with C++ programming, Siemens IDEA pulse programming, and graphic interpreted computer languages (preferably IDL or MATLAB).
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and perform well under pressure.
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
