Software Engineer III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer III in Chicago, IL with strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular (17+). In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, cloud-native applications. This is a key position within a fast-paced, agile team working to build impactful software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular 17+

* Build and integrate RESTful APIs, Graph

QL services, microservices, and cloud-native solutions

* Implement robust UI state management using NgRx Store

* Leverage Microsoft Azure services for application deployment, scalability, and monitoring

* Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Workflows for efficient and automated development processes

* Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

* Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features

* Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a strong focus on performance and security

* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications and infrastructure

* Ensure software is deployed efficiently and reliably to production environments using modern Dev Ops practices

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot, Java 17)

* 5+ years of frontend development experience with Angular (17+), Type Script, HTML5, and CSS3

* Strong experience with NgRx Store for state management in Angular applications

* Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs and Graph

QL services

* Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Dev Ops, Azure Storage, Azure SQL)

* Proficiency in setting up and managing Git Hub Workflows for CI/CD automation

* Solid understanding of microservices architecture and asynchronous processing

* Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, Postgre

* Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (JUnit, Jasmine, Karma)

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
