Lead development and implementation of analytics tools and APIs for quants and portfolio managers. Provide technical leadership while remaining hands‑on.
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable frontend applications, high‑performance backend services, and APIs.
- Translate quantitative and portfolio manager requirements into robust technical designs and delivery plans.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, quants, and portfolio managers to define scope, priorities, and solutions.
- Own production delivery, system reliability, and incident response.
- Lead by example through hands‑on development and technical decision‑making.
- Mentor and support peers, contributing to engineering best practices and a strong development culture.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production‑grade systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive hands‑on experience using Pandas and SQL in production environments.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Proven experience building and operating distributed systems or large‑scale data processing platforms.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Results‑oriented mindset with the flexibility to take on multiple responsibilities and deliver under time pressure.
- Direct experience working with quantitative teams or strong familiarity with quantitative workflows.
- Frontend development experience, including JavaScript and modern UI frameworks.
- Additional depth in large‑scale distributed architectures and performance‑critical systems.
- Broader experience across cloud services and infrastructure tooling beyond core AWS usage.
