Chariot’s Product Engineer will own and scale our frontend architecture and user experience, bringing elegant, performant, and intuitive interfaces to life. You’ll collaborate with product and design to translate complex backend processes into delightful and accessible experiences for nonprofits, DAFs, and their donors.
You will work closely with the Chief Product Officer and other Founding Engineers to build out a product that can scale to service some of the most impactful organizations in the world.
- Manage and build out the frontend web applications and components that comprise the user‑facing Chariot product.
- Develop new and improve existing user‑facing features and products.
- Contribute to the architecture of our frontend applications and define best practices.
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Improve monitoring and alerting capabilities to better understand user behaviors and iterate on our product.
- Collaborate closely with the CPO on UX/UI and translate Figma mockups into pixel‑perfect implementations.
- 4+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience as a frontend application developer building performant and scalable systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a technical field, or relevant work experience.
- Highly proficient working with React and Type Script.
- Understanding of design systems, spacing, typography, and accessibility; knowledge on how to translate Figma files into clean, maintainable code.
- Ability to contribute to backend services and data modeling.
- Strong sense of responsibility; ability to drive a project from inception to completion.
- Experience with design systems, fintech, payments, and the nonprofit sector is a plus.

Pay Transparency:
Range: $130,000‑$175,000 + Equity Upside.
