Job Overview
Feature Lead Data Engineer – responsible for building data pipelines to support the GenAI platform for Global Markets Sales & Trading, QSDG, and Platform teams. Will design, develop, and engineer high‑performance, scalable platform to source, classify, and store large volumes of structured (e.g., KDB) and unstructured data (e.g., research documents, term sheets).
Responsibilities- Design, develop and deliver features for the GenAI platform.
- Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
- Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
- Guide the team on work breakdown and execution, planning, estimation, and peer reviews.
- Prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Lead automation initiatives for end‑to‑end SDLC efficiency.
- Implement software enhancements to meet global performance expectations.
- Collaborate with Product Owner to keep product backlog healthy and well defined.
- Mentor and coach junior developers as a technical lead.
- Experience designing & implementing multi‑tier (including micro‑services) application platforms (FastAPI).
- Extensive experience with high‑performance Pub/Sub (Kafka) architecture.
- Experience with distributed systems, specifically Redis, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
- High coding proficiency in Python.
- In‑depth knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and No
SQL databases (Mongo
DB) as well as large data set processing. - Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience implementing data ingestion, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic RAG, and agent frameworks (Lang Graph).
- Automation, influence, result orientation, stakeholder management.
- Technical strategy development, architecture, business acumen, risk management.
- Solution delivery, process design, Agile practices, analytical thinking, collaboration, data management, Dev Ops practices.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

$ – $ annualized salary, based on experience, education and skill set. Eligible for discretionary incentive plan.
