Software Engineer, Backend Developer

Whatyou’ll do Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams using Ruby and Java.
- Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it.
- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Work with engineers and cross‑functional partners across the company.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or related field followed by 4 years of software development experience.
- 3 years of experience building software solutions using Ruby, Typescript or Java.
- 3 years of experience defining storage schemas for relational, document or columnar databases.
- 3 years of experience querying data stores using SQL.
- 3 years of experience building and integrating service endpoints using GRPC, Thrift, or Graph
QL. - 3 years of experience building systems integrated with event processing technologies including SQS, Kafka or Rabbit
MQ. - 1 year of experience architecting and designing microservices.
This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.
