Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Backend Developer

The Role

You will help build the core platform that everything at Prismera runs on: the APIs, data layer, integrations, and infrastructure that connect our AI systems to enterprise customers and their existing workflows.

This is an early engineering hire. You are not inheriting a mature codebase with established conventions. You are building the systems, writing the patterns, and making the architectural decisions that the rest of the engineering org will build on top of. What you ship will be in production, handling real enterprise workloads, immediately.

• Build and own backend systems, APIs, and data infrastructure.
• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (document management, cloud storage, internal tools) that our customers depend on.
• Own data modeling and storage layer decisions as the volume and complexity of customer data scales.
• Build reliable, performant infrastructure that supports agentic AI workflows running at scale across large document sets.
• Work across the stack as needed. This is a small, fast-moving team.

• 1-3 years of experience building and shipping production software. What matters is what you've built, not how long you've been building.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and comfort owning your own deployments and operations.
• You write clean, maintainable code and care about the quality of the systems you leave behind.
• You can work across the stack when the situation calls for it.
• You move fast, ship constantly, and take ownership of problems end-to-end.
• Bonus: experience with AI/ML infrastructure, document processing pipelines, or enterprise SaaS.
• Bonus: experience in financial services, real estate, or other domain-heavy industries.

We have enterprise customers, real revenue, and a product in a market where the incumbent software is decades old and was never designed for what AI makes possible. You would be joining at the earliest stage with the most leverage: not to maintain what exists, but to build what comes next.
