SDET Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems. The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress along with programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities include developing automated test scripts, executing regression and functional testing, validating REST APIs using Postman and Rest Assured, participating in Agile ceremonies, and integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.

The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent debugging capabilities, and a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Knowledge of SQL, database testing, API automation, cross‑browser testing, and performance testing using Apache JMeter is highly preferred. Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, test reporting tools, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure will be an added advantage.

Candidates should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in Automation Testing or QA tools are an added advantage.
