Software Engineer; AI Agents

The Role

We’re hiring a Software Engineer (AI Agents) to build and own the next generation of AI-powered workflows inside Overjoy.

This role is focused on shipping agentic AI into real customer workflows — not demos, not research prototypes. You’ll design, build, and iterate on AI agents that help brands find leads, qualify prospects, write outreach, and drive revenue automatically.

You’ll work closely with the founders, product, and design to turn ambiguous problems into systems customers rely on every day.

We grew 6x in 2025 and are aiming to do it again in 2026. As Overjoy expands our value offerings, we want you to accelerate our transition to a fully AI-native CRM.

• Build AI agents that operate inside Overjoy’s CRM
• Design agent workflows that reason, take actions, call tools, and recover from failures
• Improve the quality, reliability, and performance of AI-powered features
• Build guardrails, evaluations, and feedback loops so agents improve over time
• Integrate AI systems deeply with existing backend services and data models
• Rapidly iterate based on real customer usage and feedback
• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, rollout, and iteration

• Have experience building production-level AI features or agents
• Have worked in small or fast-growing teams with real ownership and ambiguity
• Can balance shipping speed and building with best practices

• Type Script, React, Next.js (Frontend)
• Python, FastAPI, Postgres (Backend)
• Cloud Functions, Firestore, Elasticsearch

• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features into production
• Experience designing agent workflows or tool-calling systems
