This role is for strong engineers that want more than just to write “good” code but also are looking to help create something with real impact.

You will be part of a small tactical team where delivery is key and will have responsibility over a wide range of products and technologies. You will be expected to not only deliver quality code and a quality customer experience but also to work closely with the product and customer success teams to help shape our future.

This role is for someone who loves building, learning and growing.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and deliver complex technical solutions that leverage the latest technologies (yes AI) to deliver a world class customer experience.
  • Build APIs and services that enable a new form of entrepreneurship empowerment for over 3 million small business owners
  • Build and integrate with financial service technologies for payments, banking, and loans
  • Support the technical infrastructure that powers over 14,000 small businesses.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and across engineering on the strategic vision for our product roadmap
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence through code and design reviews
  • Deliver high-quality, secure, and testable code
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to the engineering culture
What We’re Looking For:
  • 3+ years of technical experience building and maintaining core backend systems
  • Experience deploying to and monitoring your systems on AWSYou have owned and lead projects from planning phase through delivery and support
  • You think about performance and trade offs constantly
  • Experience working with data pipelines and you are comfortable connecting systems you build to existing data infrastructure
  • You have working with financial service APIs such as payments processors or lender origination
  • Experience as a generalist, working on whatever part of the stack necessary to solve the problem at hand
  • A passion for building delightful applications and the systems that support them
  • Care deeply about the quality of your work while balancing delivery expectations.
  • An obsessive focus on customers and iterative learning.
