Full Stack Developer - Finance Industry

Smart Step Funding LLC (Smart Step) is a cutting-edge specialty finance company offering working capital to small businesses across the U.S. We are actively seeking a full time Full Stack Developer to join our privately held company in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Flexible in approach, and confident to ask for advice and guidance from the IT Manager.

• Participate and contribute to the full project life cycle, including gathering requirements, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of applications.
• Document code so other developers can reuse and support components in the future.
• Participate in estimating assigned work effort and be accountable for completion dates.
• Communicate project status and deliverables with managers and clients.
• Design, create and program SQL Server databases per project needs.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues.
• Production release management and support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands on experience in .NET Framework 3.5/ 4.0 or Java, C#, .NET, HTML5, CSS, XML, Visual Studio (2+ years).
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming (2+ years).
• Solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures (2+ years).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of development experience with PLSQL (Oracle) or TSQL (SQL Server).
• Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within timeline and budget constraints.
