Job Description

Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top‑notch technology products. As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking in the Fraud Technology team, you will lead talented individuals to build a Next Gen orchestration platform using advanced AI capabilities in Java & AWS.

Responsibilities
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Creates secure and high‑quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in software development.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining applications in a large corporate environment.
  • Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Hands‑on experience building AI Agents and leveraging AI powered tools, RAG pipelines and LLM APIs.
  • Proficient in coding in one or more programming language(s):
    Java.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Strong AWS experience, including ECS and Lambda.
  • Strong AWS networking and core services knowledge (ALB, NLB, GWLB; VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM, Cloud Watch).
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security for internet‑facing APIs (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, TLS/mTLS, rate limiting).
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies.
  • Hands‑on AWS Services experience with ECS, Lambda, Aurora Postgres.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
  • Cloud certification.
  • Anthropic Claude Code experience.
