Senior Software Engineer; Hybrid - Edgewood, NY

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions using Java and related technologies (e.g., Java Struts, Web Sphere, Tomcat).
• Analyze business and system requirements to develop effective and scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Debug, review, and maintain existing systems to ensure performance, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including business analysts, architects, and quality assurance professionals—to deliver production‑ready features.
• Apply best practices in code quality, version control, and Dev Ops continuous integration.
• Optionally, use AWS for cloud‑based application deployment and infrastructure management.
• Provide technical and knowledge sharing with team members.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development. Java Struts, Web Sphere, Tomcat, Oracle, Java script, AWS (preferred)
• Understanding of Java, object‑oriented programming, frameworks (such as Spring or Hibernate), REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience working in an Agile SDLC environment.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and deliver efficient, maintainable solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting. Capable of managing tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.

Salary range: $120,000 – $130,000.
