Position Description

Job Summary:

The Junior Software Engineer supports the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that advance Peckham Industries' business objectives. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, this role contributes to software projects while developing technical expertise in application development, cloud technologies, and business systems. This position offers hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle and provides a strong foundation for career growth within the Technology team.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

02 years of software development experience through employment, internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or personal projects.

Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development principles.

Experience with at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Familiarity with relational databases and basic database design concepts.

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is preferred.

Exposure to source control systems such as Git.

Understanding of software testing concepts and debugging techniques.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Capabilities and understanding of generative AI applications or frameworks for software development and testing

Experience with IoT, industrial automation, or PLC systems is a plus.
