Engineering Associate, Software Engineering

Associate, Software Engineering – Goldman Sachs Services LLC, New York, NY (Multiple positions available)

• Develop, enhance, support, and maintain the Firm’s software solutions across global businesses.
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions leveraging internal and open-source services.
• Assist in requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration, regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop solution designs.
• Identify new external technologies that can transform financial businesses and internal platforms in innovative ways.
• Work through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
• Design, implement and maintain robust testing suites to enable safe, complete, and scalable solutions.

• Master’s (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with at least one year of experience in a similar role; OR Bachelor's degree with two years of experience.
• Prior experience must include one year (with a Master’s) OR two years (with a Bachelor's) of experience in software engineering and at least five of the following skills:
• C++ or Java.
• Full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
• Building multi-threaded, multi-process, service-oriented enterprise applications within Unix environments.
• Programming technologies including Spring, Hibernate, Rabbit
  
  MQ, or Kafka.
• Relational database management systems such as Sybase or Oracle.
• Micro‑services architecture design and development including REST, Spring, or other back‑end technologies.
• Database query languages, including SQL or No
  
  SQL technologies such as Mongo
  
  DB.

Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $132,000 – $171,200.
