Fixed Income Technology is responsible for delivering state‑of‑the‑art technology solutions to the Global Rates business. Initiatives include deliveries across sales, risk, pricing, algorithmic trading, execution, trade processing, and more. Job Responsibilities / Role- Designing and developing front‑office e‑Trading applications for the trading business
- Working directly with traders, sales, and quants to shape the future direction of the platform
- Utilizing creativity and innovation to improve technical capabilities while ensuring the platform remains stable, flexible, and maintainable
- Driving engineering standards and striving for best practices
- Enhancing automated testing efforts and optimizing the UAT process
- Troubleshooting performance and scalability issues
- Providing onsite support to Rates traders in Paris
- Assisting in third‑line support during core trading hours
- Liaising with global business, support, and development teams on various projects
- Build a strong profile in a high‑performance global team (London, Paris, NY, Mississauga, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo)
- Learn and apply low‑latency programming solutions
- Develop efficient and robust solutions to challenging business problems
- Work on a globally distributed team to deliver the next‑generation e‑Trading experience for traders at Citi
- Gain knowledge and exposure to front‑office trading systems, fixed income, and derivatives flows
Required
- 3–7 years of experience in server‑side Core Java and multithreading
- Experience with Spring framework, Linux, relational databases
- Solid architectural understanding of enterprise applications
- Experience with Agile development, test‑driven development, and CI/CD
- Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, etc.
Preferred
- Experience developing large financial trading systems with emphasis on performance tuning and scalability
- Knowledge of major Fixed Income products (Repos, US Treasuries, interest rate swaps) and broker/customer electronic trading flows
- Worked in an Agile globally distributed team using tools such as Jira, Git Hub, Sonar, and Team City
- Experience with IntelliJ, Gradle, etc.

- Experience with JSON/XML and REST services
- KDB experience
- Experience with AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Devin)
- Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
