Backend Engineer - Wallets​/Minting; Brooklyn

Brooklyn: $180,000 to $200,000

As a Backend Engineer for Wallets and/or Minting at Crossmint, you will be at the forefront of developing the software and infrastructure needed to custody Non‑Fungible Tokens (NFT) and other digital assets.

• Write high quality code
  : correct, secure, performant, maintainable.
• Write architectural and design docs
  : individually and with the team.
• Software engineering practices
  :
  Familiarity with design and code reviews, source control management, CI/CD, testing, etc.
• Run your projects end to end
  : from conceptualization, to shipping and beyond.
• Perform On‑Call duties
  : participate in paid on‑call shifts (once or twice a quarter).
• Mentor new team members.

• Provable experience shipping high quality code.
• Excellent reading and writing comprehension skills in English.
• Experience working on a team and references to back it.
• Educational background
  :
  Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills with industry experience.

• Security / Cryptography background
  : alternatively background in mathematics or algorithmic competitions.
• Blockchain / smart contract knowledge.
• Expertise in some of the languages we use
  :
  Typescript, Solidity, Python.
• NFT user (or creator):
  Have a history of making or purchasing NFTs before, showcasing a genuine interest in the NFT space and the importance of secure wallet solutions.
