Full Stack Engineer – iHeart Media

We are looking for a full stack engineer with a demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining production services, innovative thinking, and technical excellence.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• 2.5+ years of experience designing and building successful customer‑facing web applications
• Proficiency in a statically‑typed language such as Java, C++, or Golang
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and at least one front‑end framework (React, Vue, or AngularJS)
• Experience building JavaScript‑based web applications with HTML5, CSS, and Node.js
• Experience contributing to and integrating with REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience writing complex, highly‑optimised SQL queries in MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience running shell commands on OS X or Linux
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• A good architectural level understanding, ability to evaluate approaches and tools, and make timely judgments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A cooperative, understanding, open, and friendly demeanor
• A mindset of continuous improvement
• Experience with Git and Git Hub, including pull request workflows

• GraphQL for querying APIs and serving data
• Global UI state management with Apollo and React, plus knowledge of NPM, Babel, Webpack, Browserify
• Python, Type Script, or MVVM frameworks such as Vue.js
• Amazon Web Services and microservice architecture design principles
• Graph databases such as Neo4j
• Columnar data stores such as Amazon Redshift or Big Query
• CI/CD systems such as Jenkins
• Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Agile methodologies
• Social network APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In)
• Data pipeline and streaming technologies such as Hive, Spark, Kafka, and Kafka Streams

• Salary: $105,800 – $132,250 (dependent on experience and market data)
