Senior Frontend Engineer: Trading & AI Platform

A leading global hedge fund with a multi-billion-dollar portfolio is hiring for three Senior Frontend Engineering roles. Each sits within a different part of the technology organization, but all share a common thread: building high-performance, mission-critical tools used daily by traders, portfolio managers, and analysts making consequential decisions in real time.

This role sits on the Applied AI team building the firm's internal AI platform, assistants, deep research tools, agentic workflows, and enterprise integrations used across the investment floor. The next major build is agents: persistent AI systems that execute multi-step tasks inside real investment workflows.

You will own large parts of that experience in React, Type Script, and Next.js, streaming agent output, long-running async runs, tool execution UIs, and the controls that help users understand and steer agent behavior.

• 10+ years of frontend experience, strong React, Typescript and Next.js
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) is a meaningful plus
• Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM related fields.

This role is embedded within the team that owns the trading infrastructure connecting portfolio managers and traders to global markets. You will build and evolve the front-office UI layer, order management systems, real-time blotters, execution dashboards, tools that traders interact with every single day under time-sensitive, production conditions.

• 8+ years of frontend experience with a strong React/Next.js/Type Script foundation
• Hands‑on experience with real‑time streaming UIs, Websocket is a must have
• Proficiency with data grid libraries like AG Grid.
• Prior experience in trading or execution technology environments is preferred but not required.

This is a governance and craft role for a senior engineer who wants to set the standard for how a firm‑wide product ecosystem looks and behaves. You will co‑own the internal design system, ShadCN-based UI libraries, Figma token architecture, React/Type Script component libraries, and drive adoption across every internal application that powers investment, operations, and corporate workflows.

• 8+ years in frontend or UX engineering
• Have managed large Figma design systems end‑to‑end, and know how to raise the quality bar without slowing teams down.
• Experience with Radix, Tailwind, or comparable UI primitives is expected.
• A background in capital markets or data‑dense enterprise UI is a strong plus.
