Software Engineer, Senior Developer

We're hiring experienced Quant Developers to join one of the most profitable equities teams at a leading hedge fund. This is a front-office role with direct impact — you’ll work alongside PMs, researchers, and traders to build trading infrastructure, research platforms, and execution tooling used across the entire business.

This role is only open to candidates currently at a top-tier buyside firm or prop trading shop

• Front-office impact – Everything you build is used directly by traders and researchers. Your work moves the needle on PnL.
• Small, fast teams – No layers of red tape. You ship quickly, own your work end-to-end, and have a say in both product and technical direction.
• High visibility – EQR is one of the highest-impact divisions in the firm. Engineers here work across trading desks and have real ownership.
• Growth opportunities – The team is scaling rapidly, with new pods forming. Strong pathway for senior engineers to lead new initiatives.

• Currently working as a Quant Developer (or similar) at a top-tier buyside or prop firm
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or C++, and a deep understanding of trading systems, research infrastructure, or execution platforms
• 3–15 years of professional experience
• Comfortable working closely with PMs, traders, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
