The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team, with the overall objective of driving applications systems analysis and programming activities.

We are seeking a strong Technical Lead for the Collateral Management and Margining system for Citi Global Wealth Management business. The successful candidate will lead application development, solutioning, and work with the development team to support the delivery of solutions, interacting with key stakeholders from product, risk, and operations for handling application activities and new projects.

The candidate will be a rigorous technical manager with a strong understanding of how to build scalable, enterprise-level global applications. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise and a very good ability to understand domain data and functional flows. They must be able to work comfortably in a large development team within a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration.

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals
• Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
• Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
• Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business units, and technology partners to ensure technology initiatives support evolving lending business needs and operational efficiency
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects in accordance with the architectural guidelines
• Hands on with Design, code, and implement application release projects as part of development team
• Lead, track and drive the progress of the project deliverables (requirements, development, testing, operational readiness, data readiness etc.) to ensure timely delivery
• Support as SME for regional business, operation and global technology teams
• Partner with various teams – Investment Finance, Risk, Operations and Technology teams for solution planning and integration
• Ability to push an agenda in a matrix environment through influencing and collaboration
• Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities
• Promotes continuous process improvement especially in code quality, testability & reliability
• Proactively notify program manager for risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• As an application manager – manages application stability, address end of life software, address COB and resilience related issues, optimize application performance
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members. Promotes teamwork and builds strong relationships within and across global teams

• 12+ years of relevant experience in an Apps Development or systems analysis role in the Financial Service industry
• Experience as an Applications Development Manager and in a senior-level Applications Development role
• Extensive development expertise in building high-scaled and performant software platforms for data computation and processing
• Possess extensive experience in Data Modelling and Data Architecture, with a specialized focus on designing and implementing robust data solutions
