Job Description

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans, and payment processing. We lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most‑used digital solutions, while ranking first in customer satisfaction. In this role, you will apply strong technical judgment to choose the right approaches—including modern LLM‑based methods where appropriate—evaluate performance with rigorous metrics, and ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and scalable in real‑world environments.

You’ll also contribute to improving data quality and feedback loops, monitor models in production, and continuously iterate to reduce agent effort, shorten resolution times, and increase consistency and quality across operational workflows. As an Applied AI/ML Senior Associate in our AI for Operations organization, you will help design, build, and scale cutting‑edge NLP solutions that improve experiences for both customers and internal agents supporting the bank’s day‑to‑day operations.

You’ll work hands‑on across the end‑to‑end model lifecycle—partnering with product, engineering, operations, and risk stakeholders to translate real operational needs into production‑grade language capabilities such as intelligent search, summarization, classification, and next‑best‑action recommendations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Apply deep natural language processing knowledge, critical thinking, and advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
  • Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, including defining the objective and key product deliverables.
  • Act as an advanced contributor in system development, computer algorithms, NLP, and machine learning.
  • Bring in new knowledge, ideas, and perspectives to foster a continuous learning mindset.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Undergraduate and master’s degrees in Computer Science with training and work experience in LLM/NLP and search.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to present analytical findings and influence among key stakeholders.
  • Advanced demonstrable programming skills with 2+ years of experience in at least two programming languages such as Spark, Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, compilers, databases, and systems, with the ability to learn additional languages quickly.
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Concentration in NLP or Search experience during undergraduate or master’s studies.
  • Experience developing large‑scale machine learning solutions based on big data to solve real‑world problems (e.g., classification, regression, recommender systems).
Benefits

We offer a competitive total rewards package, including base salary, commission‑based pay, and discretionary incentive compensation in the form of cash or equity. Benefits cover comprehensive health care, on‑site wellness centers, retirement savings plans, backup childcare, tuition reimbursement, mental health support, financial coaching, and more. Details on compensation and benefits will be presented during the hiring process.

We are an equal opportunity employer and place a high value on diversity and inclusion.
