We are seeking a highly experienced and hands‑on Staff Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Okta and SaaS platform integration to contribute to the design, implementation, and scalability of our Identity and Access Management strategy. In this role, you'll work closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.
This position is a highly collaborative role; you'll function as part of a team to drive technical excellence and contribute to architectural changes, standards, and roadmaps.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work with the team to design, implement, and maintain secure identity and access management systems using Okta.
- Serve as technical owner for Okta and all integrations with core SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Salesforce, Atlassian, Zoom). Ensuring proper access controls, compliance, and data protection are in place.
- Collaborate on architecture, integration, and operational best practices for SaaS applications and platforms that fit the needs of the business.
- Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to streamline SaaS onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, and governance.
- Experience integrating with Datadog or other observability platforms to build alerts and monitors, to have eyes on the environment.
- Evaluate and enhance Single Sign‑On (SSO) and Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) strategies across the organization.
- Partner with Info Sec, HRIS, and other business units to ensure compliance and security requirements are met across Enterprise Systems.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and partnering across the organization and cross‑functionally with other Fanatics Operating Companies.
- Oncall rotation is required for this role
. Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts related to outages or security events. - Develop and maintain automated workflows and custom integrations via APIs, Okta Workflows, or identity orchestration tools.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to IAM and SaaS engineering roadmaps.
