Embedded Software Engineer
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced medical monitoring products that save lives around the world. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software solutions in a regulated, mission‑critical environment.
What you’ll be doing- Develop Embedded Software Components – Assist in developing and maintaining embedded software applications using C++ and the Qt framework or Java script REACT under senior engineer guidance.
- Collaborate with the Team – Work with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product team members to understand system requirements and contribute to software‑hardware integration efforts.
- Learn and Apply Best Practices – Participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and learn modern software development practices, including testing and debugging techniques.
- Support Testing and Debugging – Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in embedded environments, including basic performance and reliability testing.
- Contribute to Documentation – Assist with creating and maintaining clear technical documentation for designs, implementations, and test procedures.
- Grow Your Technical Skills – Learn from senior and principal engineers, gradually taking ownership of well‑defined features or modules as your experience grows.
- Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 0+ years of experience in software or embedded systems development (internships, co‑ops, or academic projects).
- Programming Fundamentals – Knowledge of C++ and a UI framework (Qt, JavaScript, React), with understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts. Exposure to Qt or other UI frameworks is a plus.
- Embedded Systems Exposure – Familiarity with embedded systems concepts and basic exposure to embedded Linux or similar environments through coursework or projects.
- Problem‑Solving Skills – Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and ask questions when solving technical challenges.
- Collaboration & Communication – Ability to communicate clearly, work well in a team environment, and accept feedback as part of continuous improvement.
Estimated base salary $88,000 to $121,000 annually. The range reflects an anticipated salary for the position and may vary based on market data, location, and experience. The position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
