Lead Full‑Stack Engineer (Front‑End Focus)

Location: Hybrid Midtown Manhattan

A technology consultancy supporting major financial institutions is seeking a Lead Full‑Stack Engineer with a strong front‑end orientation. You’ll guide technical direction, partner directly with stakeholders, and build polished, high‑performance web applications used in complex financial environments. This is a senior IC role — no direct people management, but plenty of technical leadership and influence.

• Lead the front‑end architecture and development of a modern web application used for data‑intensive financial workflows.
• Define technical approaches, document system design, and shape implementation plans across the full stack.
• Contribute hands‑on to both UI engineering and backend services (using either C# or Python).
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to translate requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions.
• Serve as a trusted technical partner to client teams, helping them understand tradeoffs, propose solutions, and drive delivery.
• Promote engineering best practices across cloud, testing, Dev Ops, and deployment pipelines.

• 5+ years building modern front‑end applications with React and contemporary state management patterns.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend development in C# or Python.
• Strong experience with cloud‑native architecture (AWS preferred), containerization, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Deep understanding of SQL, relational data modeling, and performance considerations at scale.
• Experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated organizations.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
