Software Engineer; C+ Quant Trading

I'm working with a leading quantitative trading firm seeking a C++ Software Developer to join their global engineering team in New York

This is a hands‑on role where you'll design and build the core infrastructure behind a fully automated, 24/7 trading system. You'll work closely with researchers, systems engineers, and operations teams to develop high-performance trading software and continuously improve a cutting‑edge research and execution platform.

• Designing and implementing C++ trading systems and infrastructure
• Building and enhancing exchange connectivity and market interfaces
• Developing and optimising low‑latency, high‑throughput systems
• Supporting and extending automated trading strategies and research tools
• Investigating production issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack
• Contributing to system architecture, scalability, and reliability improvements

• Strong C++ development experience (or equivalent statically typed languages)
• Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals
• Strong problem‑solving ability and interest in complex technical systems
• Experience with distributed systems and/or low‑latency environments is a plus
• Familiarity with Linux and systems‑level programming advantageous
• Trading industry experience beneficial but not essential
