Unix/Linux, Software Engineer, C++ Developer, DevOps
JCW has partnered with a leading global investment firm seeking a Low Latency Quantitative Developer to join their trading and research infrastructure team. This person will build, enhance, and support the systems that power the firm's trading strategies across fixed income, currency, commodity, and equity markets globally, working across low-latency trading software, high-throughput research infrastructure, and geographically distributed networking capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a strong systems programmer with deep roots in a traditional systems discipline such as compilers, networking, or operating systems. You write idiomatic C or C++ comfortably in a large multi-author codebase, you think critically about performance at the hardware and kernel level, and you bring genuine expertise in at least one niche area relevant to low-latency trading.
You are as comfortable in a GNU/Linux environment as you are solving complex distributed systems problems.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong programming background in C or C++
- Deep systems background with comfort in GNU/Linux system administration
- Experience building and enhancing low-latency trading or high-throughput research infrastructure
- Expertise in at least one of the following: clock synchronization, networking and TCP, PCIe, Linux kernel internals, or concurrent programming
- Experience with systems for testing, deployment, and monitoring of services
If this sounds like you feel free to apply!
